This photo really doesn't do justice to the size of Tegucigalpa, it is enormous! The barren piece of land to the right of the photo is where a mudslide took out all the homes during Hurricane Mitch in 2008. At least I think that is the right spot...if not, there is another place that looks just like it in another part of the city! I get really turned around sometimes when I am here, but for the most part my direction is good!
We ask about you every sunday when we see your fam. Post more often, Walker loves to see the pics. Walker & Gunnar send their hugs. Stay safe, we can't wait to hear all the amazing details. We pray for your adventure. xoxo Chas Wy Walker & Gun
Hi Libby, I stumbled across your blog while googling Jovenes en Camino. I thought "I know her!!". We've been home almost three weeks and I miss Honduras so much! Please post more often so we can receive the latest news! Becky Rachels
I never know what to write in these things...what do people really want to know? From the beginning: I was born and raised an Indianapolis Colts fan, but I grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Yada yada. I love mission work and serving people. I went on my first mission trip the summer after eighth grade, and I've been on one every year since then. I think God has big plans for me, but I don't have them all figured out yet. I want to live in Central America, probably Honduras. I am in love with the people in Latin America! I am working on speaking Spanish...not fluent yet.
I also love photography, and at the moment I am a photojournalism major. I don't think, however, that I will pursue a career in photography.
The best summer of my life is about to be over, but I am excited about what a new school year has in store and about discovering what the Lord wants me to do with my life! It's a wonderful life! :)
